Welcome home! HOLZMA solutions from S to XXL at the 2011 in-house expo

From 27 to 30 September 2011 HOLZMA will again be saying "welcome home" to visitors. The world's leading manufacturer of horizontal panel saws is inviting customers, business partners and other interested parties from all over the world to its annual HOLZMA Treff show at the company's headquarters in Holzbronn. Daily from 9am to 5pm on these four days, visitors will have the chance to learn more about the entire HOLZMA range: cutting-edge technologies from S to XXL – for perfectly coordinated solutions and efficient processes in the woodworking industry.

The latest example of this is the new 4 series from HOLZMA. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, this series offers an impressive increase in performance and greater energy savings. Following in the footsteps of the 3 series, which underwent a complete overhaul last year, the models of the new 4 series feature a wide range of technical innovations designed to address the specific needs of users. HOLZMA drew on a wealth of experience provided by international companies from both the trade and the industrial sector and refined the series to meet their particular requirements. Proven features have been retained or further enhanced while many innovations have been added in response to requests and suggestions received directly from customers. This has resulted in a new generation of saws embodying state-of-the-art technology and meeting the needs of both the craft and the industrial sector alike – all at economically attractive conditions.

Most of the sister companies of the HOMAG Group will also be present at this year's HOLZMA Treff. They will be exhibiting a wide range of PRACTIVE solutions addressing in particular the needs of the woodworking shop. These will include, for example, innovations from BARGSTEDT, BRANDT and BÜTFERING and the latest developments from HOMAG, WEEKE and LIGMATECH. The participation of a large number of HOMAG sister companies is yet another indication of the importance of the HOLZMA show as a platform for the industry and as a technology exhibition for innovations in the woodworking sector.

The highlights

At the 2011 Treff, HOLZMA will be showcasing its entire range, covering every aspect of panel sizing. This year's highlights will include:

The new 4 series
The new HOLZMA 4 series, unveiled at this year's LIGNA Fair in Hannover, has already become a bestseller. This new development features many technical innovations that have already proved themselves in the 3 series, which was completely redesigned last year. The most important of these innovations:

improved ecoPlus technologies for even greater energy savings
a window at the height of the pressure beam, providing a clear view of the rear part of the machine
two-fingered clamps throughout for a perfect grip on the material
newly designed saw carriage with patented rocker and improved extraction
ergonomic table height of 920 mm

The models of the new 4 series cover a broad spectrum of requirements. They range from the HPP 410 and HPP 430 to the HPL 410 and HPL 430 with automatic lift table feeding system and culminate in the HKL 430 angular system. Furthermore, both the HPL 430 and the HKL 430 are available in profiLine versions.

Special models: HPP 250 and HPP 380 edition
True to its tradition, the HOLZMA Treff will also be offering unique opportunities for customers looking for savings – this year in the guise of the HPP 250 and HPP 380 edition special models. Both of these panel saws offer excellent price/performance ratios.

New saw-storage combinations
Automation and efficient processes are playing an increasingly important role in the craft sector, too. In cooperation with BARGSTEDT, HOLZMA has therefore developed compact saw-storage combinations taking the special needs of small and medium-sized companies into consideration. Visitors to LIGNA 2011 were already able to see the new BARGSTEDT TLF 210 in combination with an HPP 230 panel saw. Two further combinations will be showcased at the HOLZMA Treff. On show for the first time: a HOLZMA HPP 350 in combination with an HBX 150 – for feeding solutions using one to two storage locations. There will also be a chance to see a BARGSTEDT TLF 210 storage system in combination with a HOLZMA HPP 380. This offers a more powerful solution in comparison with the one exhibited at LIGNA. Hardware and software have been perfectly harmonised allowing these two combinations to provide:

lower costs
optimised material flow
a clear overview of current stock
gentle material transport from the store directly to the saw
ergonomic working conditions, time-savings and fewer errors

Automatic feeding system at a budget price
HOLZMA's automatic feeding system Easy2Feed saves not only a great deal of space but also a lot of time. And on top of that, it comes at a very attractive price. Expanding woodworking businesses that already have a panel saw from the 3 series equipped with the CADmatic 4.1 controller can now very simply retrofit Easy2Feed. This allows the saw to keep pace with increasing demands without requiring major investment.

The 5 series – no compromises

The new 5 series has passed the acid test of practice with flying colours. Since the launch of the series two years ago, HOLZMA has sold more than 200 of these machines all over the world. Customer experience has shown that the innovative design of these panel saws has proven extremely successful in many industrial environments. This success can be attributed to a wide range of technical innovations:

the heavy-duty machine body made of SORB TECH mineral casting dampens vibrations to an outstanding degree
the smooth running of the saw carriage ensures maximum cutting precision at high processing speeds and increases tool life by up to 25 per cent
this can achieve annual savings of up to 3000 euros in costs for tools and sharpening

PRACTIVE – ideas for the trade sector
As is well known, the whole is more than the sum of its parts – at least when the parts fit together as perfectly as HOMAG Group parts do. Visitors to the HOLZMA Treff will have the opportunity to witness this expertise in systems engineering at first hand, because sister companies BARGSTEDT, BRANDT, BÜTFERING, HOMAG, WEEKE and LIGMATECH will also be showcasing a selection of their new developments at the HOLZMA show.

Production cell: a quartet of HOMAG subsidiaries
The real expertise and harmony in system solutions is only revealed in practice. That is why visitors will be given the chance to appraise a complete production cell at the HOLZMA Treff. Machines from four HOMAG production companies will work hand in hand to produce a finished piece of furniture on the spot. The cell includes an HPP 250 edition panel saw from HOLZMA, a BRANDT Ambition 1440 edge banding machine with part return system from LIGMATECH and both a BHX 055 processing centre and an ABD 050 automatic dowel insertion machine from WEEKE.

The finished pieces of furniture will be available for purchase at the HOLZMA Treff. The participating HOMAG companies will donate the proceeds to a good cause.
